NJ Cranberry Harvest

The New Jersey cranberry harvest is the third largest in the United States. So New Jersey is a major cranberry producer. Cranberries are harvested between September and October. There are two methods (wet & dry) for harvesting cranberries.

If you are interested in touring a cranberry farm consider visiting Whitesbog Village. It is a historic district and encompasses 3,000 acres of bogs. It is like a microcosm of of the pinelands in NJ. Visit the Whitesbog Village Website for more information. This year the 29th Annual Cranberry Festival in Chatsworth NJ takes place on October 20th & 21st, 2012.
