This time of year in New Jersey is perfect for spending time on the farm. Many farms offer hayrides and mazes in addition to fresh picks. So why not take advantage of it all and go pick some pumpkins at a NJ farm near you today.

Coombs Barnyard is run by sisters Jennifer Coombs-Kelly and Amanda Coombs-Shimp, who are the ninth generation on the family farm. The barnyard hosts a variety of fall family fun activities beginning at the end of September including Flashlight Fridays in their corn maze (not scary), and Barnyard Bashes which consist of hayrides, pumpkin picking, barrel train rides, and visits with the barnyard animals.
Nestled between hilly fields and dairy cow pastures, Creamy Acres has been around since 1968. Their opening day this season is Saturday, September 21st. Their fall festivities include wagon rides, pumpkin picking in the pumpkin patch, a kiddie corn maze and so much more! Looking for something a little edgier? Creamy Acres is also home to Night of Terror, New Jersey’s scariest haunted attraction which begins on September 20th and runs on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through November 2nd.
Every Saturday, take a drive out to Duffield’s Farm with your friends and family to enjoy all of their fall activities! Take a hayride through their scenic farmland and breathe fresh country air while enjoying a warm apple cider doughnut from their bakery. Starting in mid-to-late August, visitors will be able to pick your own apples. Pumpkins will be available a little bit later in the season.
Emery’s is a 60 acre farm that is dedicated to growing blueberries, sunflowers, and pumpkins, in addition to two corn mazes with a Who-Dun-It Clue Game! Make sure you stop by their Farm Market and Country Bakery to pick up some delicious homemade pie!
Are you looking for a fun, educational, and downright delicious outing with your family? Then stop by Hill Creek Farms! Their idyllic 24-acre local produce farm has two huge apple orchards with over 17,000 apple trees, plus an orchard of plums, Asian pears, and nectarines. Their fall season starts on September 9th with their Apple Kick-Off Festival and continues through Halloween. Guests are invited to take advantage of their u-pick orchards, stroll through the pumpkin patch and take advantage of their tented picnic area.
