Chatsworth Cranberry Festival

Visit the 31th Annual Cranberry Festival Celebrate  New Jersey's cranberry harvest this year. This year the 31th Annual Cranberry Festival will be held October 18th and 19th in downtown Chatsworth NJ.  The festival hours are corm 9am to 4pm each day.

There will be an Antique and Classic Automobile Show from 9am to 4pm on Sunday show with over 100 automobiles. In addition there will be over 35 Antique Dealers with articles from the period. Don't forget that breakfast is being served at the firehouse :)

New York City Skyline’s Empire State Building’s New LED Display.

Those of us that live along and frequent New Jersey's Hudson River waterfront were treated to The Empire State Buildings first ever Light Show. The show took place on November 26, 2012 at 9:00PM. The Juice Train – Florida to Jersey City

This post brings a little trivia about Florida Orange Juice. Did you know that 5 times per week the Juice Train makes its 48 hour trip from Florida to the Tropicana processing plant in Jersey City NJ? Yep, it sure does with over a half million gallons of "Florida Sunshine" aka Orange Juice. That is like 41 refrigerated cars.

Go to a Rodeo in NJ

Yes folks, you can go to a rodeo in NJ. That is right, here in the Garden State. If you are looking for a fun family activity or day trip consider the rodeo. Rodeos are held at Cowtown Rodeo every Saturday night at 7:30pm from the end of May through the end of September. The gates open at 6:00pm and tickets are available at the door. NJ Cranberry Harvest

The New Jersey cranberry harvest is the third largest in the United States. So New Jersey is a major cranberry producer. Cranberries are harvested between September and October. There are two methods (wet & dry) for harvesting cranberries.

If you are interested in touring a cranberry farm consider visiting Whitesbog Village. It is a historic district and encompasses 3,000 acres of bogs. It is like a microcosm of of the pinelands in NJ. Visit the Whitesbog Village Website for more information. This year the 29th Annual Cranberry Festival in Chatsworth NJ takes place on October 20th & 21st, 2012.
