Jeralyn Lawrence Installed as NJ State Bar Association President-Elect

Jeralyn Lawrence, Esq. of Watchung, New Jersey, was installed as the President-Elect of the New Jersey State Bar Association on Thursday, May 19, 2021. She previously served as the First Vice President, as well as other positions in the Association.

The NJSBA installed a new slate of officers and trustees, including Ms. Lawrence, at the organization’s annual meeting, which was held virtually this year.  The members of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Executive Committee are elected to one-year terms, typically beginning at the Annual Meeting. The committee members belong to the Board of Trustees.

Ms. Lawrence, a frequent lecturer at divorce and family law programs also spoke twice at the annual meeting, where she provided practitioners guidance on the subject of Guardianship and in a second seminar gave advice for law firm managers on keeping firms thriving by making strong financial and management decisions.

The dedicated volunteers and staff of the NJSBA carry out the Association’s mission through service to its members and the public. NJSBA leaders are committed to enhancing the practice of law by serving as the voice of New Jersey attorneys, promoting access to the justice system and fairness in its administration, encouraging participation in voluntary pro bono activities and providing education to attorneys and the public.

ABOUT JERALYN LAWRENCE

Jeralyn Lawrence is the founder and Managing Partner of Lawrence Law, where she devotes her practice to Matrimonial, Divorce and Family Law.  The firm has branches in Red Bank and Watchung. Ms. Lawrence is a Supreme Court certified Matrimonial Law Attorney and a trained Mediator, Arbitrator and Collaborative Law Attorney. Ms. Lawrence is a recipient of the Young Lawyers Division Professional Achievement Award and a 3-time recipient of the Annual Legislative Recognition Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Association’s Amicus Curaie Award. She is currently also serving as the First Vice President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyer’s New Jersey Chapter, and will be installed as President-Elect in June this year.
