To help people stay active and focus on nutrition and wellness during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA has launched Healthy at Home, a series of online resources local residents can use to focus on their health.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA’s YouTube channel offers videos focused on exercise, cooking and family activities. More content is being added every day. The Y’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fspymca) also offers an array of activities and videos, along with health tips, exercise ideas and more. Each Friday, the Y also will have a #FitFamilyFriday with a new game or activity for all ages. Plus, the Y recently created a Healthy at Home Facebook group for those interested in even more health and wellness content.

Plus, for those looking for meal inspiration, the Y’s website (fspymca.org) offers Donna’s Virtual Cookbook, healthy recipes from their registered dietitian focused on using the food items in your home and reducing waste.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is committed to helping people stay healthy and active, even when their doors are shut. The Y staff is working to keep content fresh and updated to meet different health and wellness needs.
