The Jersey Cape is one of New Jerseys treasures with sights and activities for everyone in the family. It is only a 3-4 hour drive from New York City along the Garden State parkway and 1.5 hours from Philadelphia via the Atlantic City Expressway. The Statute of Liberty was a gift to the United states from the people of France on October 28, 1886. The statute was assembled in France on July 4, 1884 and later disassembled, crated and shipped to the US after the completion of it's pedestal on Liberty Island in New York Harbor.
